SDS manages its Record Centres using Visual Corporate Keeper (VCK) from Andrews Software. This system has been imported from the US where it is at the forefront of records management IT software.
Using barcoded scanning SDS provides point-to-point tracking through all stages of the transportation,storage and retrieval process.
Each box or file is given a unique barcode which is cross-referenced with your own box number. Each box is scanned into a unique location within the Record Centres with a fully auditable trail created identiying the employee who processed the transaction, the date and time of the request is and the client who requested the service.
VCK offers many operational and management reports including:

Full Inventory report - All boxes and files on the system

Date Specific reports - reports for all new items, accessed items, returned items, destroyed items

Index report - all new boxes sent off-site for storage

Destruction report -all containers requested for confidential destruction
